CHNA 20 Fall Meeting 2019: Age-Friendly Communities
Friday, November 8th
8:30 - 10:30am
Linden Ponds, Hingham
Join CHNA as we discuss age-friendly communities, a movement that has emerged in recent years in an effort to describe ways in which communities may create environments that support their aging populations and promote quality of life, independence, wellness, and active participation throughout the life course.*
Our featured speaker, Caitlyn Coyle from the UMass Boston Center for Social and Demographic Research on Aging, will provide an overview of the Age-Friendly movement and the role UMass plays in the information gathering, planning, and evaluation phases of the process. We will also have a panel of regional and state leaders working on age-friendly initiatives.
Registration and networking will take place from 8:30 - 9:00am. Breakfast items will be provided; please sign up to ensure an accurate count of who will be in attendance. Sign up now!
We look forward to seeing you there!
Spring Meeting 2019 Recap: Understanding Transportation Barriers in the CHNA 20 Region
On May 30th, over 45 community partners from around the region came together to discuss transportation barriers in the region. The meeting began with a brief overview of CHNA 20 and their newest initiative,
the Blue Hills Regional Coordinating Council.
Small groups then spent time discussing transportation barriers and gaps in existing services among our clients, what strategies could be implemented to address said barriers, and who else needs to be part of these conversations.
